Why Cherith?
The Cherith name comes from a brook named in the Bible where Elijah was called to go in 1 Kings 17. Our staff have bird names to represent how Elijah was taken care of by the ravens at the brook Cherith.
“Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith…You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the birds to feed you there…” - 1 Kings 17:3-4
A Day at Camp
From morning devotions to fun filled, skill developing activities and action packed evening programs, Camp Cherith is the perfect way to close out your summer.
Camp Cherith provides activities for all skill levels and tastes. We have team sports, ropes, horsemanship, water activities, art and crafts, archery, canoeing and so much more.
Our Staff

Camp Cherith in the Carolinas is licensed by Pioneer Clubs and one of six Camp Cherith Camps in North America.
Being an ACA Accredited camp means that Camp Cherith in the Carolinas meets or exceeds the camping standards set by American Camping Association. In order to meet ACA standards, we must prove with actions and documentation that our Staff is fully trained and equipped, that our site has been inspected and meets all expectations, and that our camping program meets health and safety procedures and policies. You can rest assured that your children are happy, safe, and will enjoy a quality program while at Camp Cherith in the Carolinas.
